Directions to St Olave’s Church and Hall.

As it is Bank Holiday weekend, it is recommended not to bring a car into York unless necessary. If you need to bring your car, there is ample parking space at the nearby Marygate Car Park and wheelchair access to St Olave.  

By train It is a 10-minute walk from York station. Turn left out of the station, cross Lendal Bridge and enter Museum gardens on your left. Walking through the gardens, you reach Marygate. Cross Marygate and go down Marygate Lane , the Church Hall is on your left. 

By car/bus From the north use Park and Ride 2 at Clifton Moor, from the west use Park and Ride 3 at Askham Bar, from the east use Park and Ride 9 at Monks Cross and from the south use either Park and Ride 7 at Designer Outlet centre or Park and Ride 3. These all terminate within a short walking distance of Lendal Bridge .  

By car Marygate car park is off the A19 Bootham and next to the River Ouse. Approaching from the outer ring road north avoids most of the city traffic jams. As you approach York centre, you drive under a footbridge. The car park is then 4th right. You will have passed St Olave’s as you drive along Marygate.  

York Minster and most other sight seeing attractions are within walking distance of St Olave’s. There are also many shops and restaurants but expect them to be busy. If you need advice on the day, or are lost please ring Paul on 07951061590.
