Visiting the Community of the Resurrection at Mirfield
The essence of what it is to be involved with CR is derived from experience of the Community. All Companions are encouraged to visit the Community and would be most welcome; the importance of building a relationship with a real place and real people cannot be stressed enough.
Various group retreats are organised throughout the year, led by a retreat conductor, including an annual Companions retreat. Please click here for a list of Open Retreats etc at the House of the Resurrection in 2010. You may also stay at the Community for a private retreat. There are facilities for the disabled and a limited number of ground floor rooms are available. Please visit the Community website for further information about how to book.
Visitors normally eat with the Community and join with the brethren in worship at the daily offices of Mattins, the midday office and Holy Communion, Evensong and Compline.
In addition, all services are open to the public.
To arrange to stay at the Community in the Retreat House, please contact the CR Guestmaster.
Please note that the forthcoming building works at the Community may impact on your stay.
| "All who arrive as guests are to be
welcomed like Christ, for he is going to say "I was a stranger and
you welcomed me". The respect due to their station is to be shown
to all, particularly to those of one family with us in the faith and to
pilgrims".
